Fruit of the work of Elena Cardillo (https://dkm.fbk.eu/index.php/Elena_Cardillo), the ICMV is an Italian  consumer vocabulary mapped to ICPC 2 and other standards which also includes consumer oriented definition for each term and Italian synonyms, both provided by consumers and professionals. The technics used for creating this ressource are based on classical knowledge elicitation technics plus automatic terminology extraction from texts and the use of new semantic based related and collaborative systems such as Semantic Media WIKI. This ressource has been integrated with other standard terminologies such as ICD, SNOMED-CT, LOINC & UMLS by means of Semantic web technologies.
